At the Open Door Mission we prepared, cooked, and served food to people in need. Once everyone was served and everything was cleaned up we spent time finding out more about the homeless community in the Greater Rochester Area.
At Foodlink, students as well as mentors got together to help Foodlink workers put together food boxes full of goodies waiting to be sent off to various organizations and people in need.
The Maker Faire is a celebration of invention, creativity and curiosity. We welcomed people and led inventors to their posts.
At Seabury Woods, we planted hycaniths and other floweres in the Memorial, which we hope will bloom this spring. We also baked the seniors fresh cookies, and made the hot chocolate.
At Decanstruction, we decontstructed a truck-load of cans that came from many generous donators.
At Toys For Tots, students and mentors helped organize toys for children in need.
At St. Ann Community, students and mentors helped wheel the residents around the facilities as well as talking and sharing stories.
League teams research a real-world problem such as food safety, recycling, energy, etc., and are challenged to develop a solution. They also must design, build, program a robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS® technology, then compete on a table-top playing field.
At the Lutheran Church of our Savior, we helped them prepare, cook, serve, setup and cleanup for their church pancake breakfast fundraiser.
At Wilson we helped set up tables for individuals selling crafts at a craft fair, then we took the tables down after the fair was over.
